Project Description

Hot-aisle and cold-aisle containment

Data centre environmental control is a constructive generic framework for maintaining temperature, humidity,
and other physical qualities of air within a specific range in order to allow the equipment housed in a data center to perform optimally throughout its lifespan.

Both hot-air and cold-air containment can improve the predictability and efficiency of traditional data center cooling systems. while both approaches minimise the mixing of hot and cold air, there are practical difference in implementation and operation that have significant consequences on work environment conditions, PUE, and economiser hours. the choice of hot-aisle containment can save 40% in annual cooling system energy cost, corresponding to a 13% reduction in annualised
PUE.
